We offer a variety of deep sea fishing trips and cruises off the seacoast of New Hampshire and into the Gulf of Maine. We fish for cod, haddock, pollock, striped bass, mackerel, and bluefish in season. Smith & Gilmore Captains are licensed by the Coast Guard and our deck crew is trained to serve and drilled in safety procedures.
Whale Watching and Deep Sea Fishing. Whale Watches The Atlantic Queen, NH’s only All-Aluminum Supercruiser, takes you out to see the great mammals of the sea. We guarantee you will see whales! We could see all types of whales including Humpbacks, Fin Whales, Minkes and more. Our Blue Ocean Society-narrated whale watching events now feature more kids’ activities on board. No individual license required. The vessel’s license covers all Anglers on board. Spacious Comfortable indoor cabin. Large decks, plenty of room. The Atlantic Queen’s 80 foot length and 22 foot beam (width) combined with her double welded chine construction make for a smooth and stable ride (capable of 20+ knots). We operate a half day fishing trip daily at 8 am followed by a whale watch at 1:30 pm daily. (Sometimes all of the details get too wordy for the public!). We are now part of the Clean Diesel Project.
New Hampshire’s only full time whale watch, expertly narrated and naturalist led aboard the EPA certified M/V Granite State. Our 30th year of exclusive dedication to whale watching, sightseeing and research. Our boat is meticulously maintained, specifically designed for whale watching, and is the fastest in Rye Harbor. May to October with trips depart twice daily during July and August. See our website for a full schedule. Common species sighted are Humpback, Finback, and Minke whales as well as Atlantic White Sided Dolphins. Our whale watches take us to Jeffreys Ledge off NH and ME, or occasionally to the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary off MA. The naturalist staff of Granite State Whale Watch is made up of graduate zoologists and biologists who affiliate with the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation and other research organizations. Our naturalists enjoy sharing their enthusiasm about whales and other marine life with our passengers, and are available to answer your questions throughout the trip. Sail with the professionals!
